Our commitment to Net Zero by 2050, to eliminate more carbon than we produce, is not a distant ambition. It spans our entire value chain, addressing not only direct operations making sustainability a shared responsibility across every link. Our Net Zero by 2050 commitment – to eliminate more carbon than we produce – is a core expression of AECI’s belief that sustainability and success are inseparable.
This is not a distant aspiration. It is a journey we are walking now, through decisions about energy efficiency, renewable energy, low-carbon solutions, supply chain choices and capital allocation. Climate change and the energy transition test our resolve, but they also create an opportunity to rethink how we operate and create value.
Every emission avoided, every process improved and every new low-carbon solution delivered moves us one step closer.

Climate change and water scarcity are no longer distant risks – they are realities that shape how we operate. AECI’s environmental strategy focuses on responsible resource use, pollution prevention, circularity and protecting ecosystems around our sites.
We treat every environmental decision as part of our long-term sustainability journey: how we design processes, manage waste, use water and energy, and restore the environments in which we operate. Step by step, we aim to reduce our footprint while supporting customers in their own transitions. When we all own the environmental choices within our control, we protect both our business and the planet that sustains it.
Strong environmental governance is critical to AECI’s sustainability. Through our partnership with Libryo, a global legal platform, we proactively track, interpret and comply with environmental legislation across our footprint, strengthening accountability, consistency and environmental performance.
